Investing in the future of Abracadabra
Campaign goals
As its name suggests, Abracadabra is a magical place of learning, exploration, and fun for our children. We are excited to launch the Abracadabra Preschool Capital Campaign to ensure that our beloved neighborhood preschool continues to thrive for future generations.
Our goal is to raise $93,000 in six months. With support from families, friends, and local businesses, we can ensure Abracadabra remains a vibrant and inclusive space for years to come.
Revitalize facilities
Improving the playground, upgrading infrastructure, and planning for future upgrades to keep our school safe and welcoming.
Increase accessibility
Expanding accessibility for children of all abilities by aligning with ADA best practices, including the installation of an accessible door and inclusive playground equipment.
This is a parent-led effort to leave this school in a better state than we found it.
We are using the Givebutter platform for fundraising. Use this form to give directly to the Abracadabra Capital Campaign.

As its name suggests, Abracadabra is a magical place of learning, exploration, and fun for our children. Abracadabra Capital Campaign is focused on ensuring that the physical infrastructure of the school remains in a good state of repair and can continue to offer young children a fun, safe, and enriching preschool environment.
-
Most of the tuition funds paid go toward ensuring that Abracadabra can retain the very best preschool teachers. This Capital Fund will be used to fund much needed improvements to the school's physical infrastructure and will help Abracadabra plan for how to ensure it can remain open for years to come.

As the House was originally built for residential use, we are exploring replacing doors with commercial-grade aluminum doors, updating hydraulic systems, and adding panic bars and code systems. Additionally, we plan to upgrade doors in the Church with new panic bars for added safety.
-
Looking ahead, we plan to work with an architect to plan for the school’s long-term needs. With Abra’s growth, it is essential that we future-proof the school's infrastructure. Additional improvements include enhancing sensory-friendly equipment in our playground, reducing the sandbox size, and adding more rubber track to enrich children’s play experiences.
-
In alignment with our commitment to an inclusive environment, we plan to add an ADA-compliant, handicap-accessible push-button door to the Church’s parking lot entrance. Over the past five school years, Abra has focused on creating an environment that welcomes all, and this door system will further support that mission.
-
Everyone who wants to leave this school in a better state. While this is a parent-led fundraising effort, we also need grandparents, alumni, local businesses, and nonprofits to contribute to make this a success.
